Please note: the route has many parts on mountain trails where it is not easy to run, especially in the Néouvielle area, around Col de Bastanet and Hourquette Nère.

Start Friday at 5 am from the square of Vielle Aure. Runners will go up on passable roads and ski slopes to col de Portet to enter the Néouvielle zone. Reaching La Mongie via the col de Bastanet and the feared Serpolet.

First exchange in La Mongie : the second runner start upon arrival of the first runner.

Climb to col de Portet at the foot of the pic du Midi. A series of pass leads to Hautacam : Bonida, Aoube, Bareilles and Ouscouaou. From Hautacam it is mostly downhill to Pierrefitte.

Second exchange : the third runner start upon arrival of the second runner.

A wide tour of the Cabaliros leading to Estaing passing by the the iconic Turon de Bene.Pass through col d’Ilhéou and Ilhéou hut to reach Cauterets. Next is col du Riou and downhill section to Luz saint sauveur.

Last exchange : the fourth runner start upon arrival of the third runner.

Uphill by the right bank of the Bastan leading to Tournaboup passing by Viey, Sers and the heights of Barèges. Back to the Néouvielle zone going through Hourquette Nère and col de Portet. Final downhill to Vielle Aure.

The bests teams could finish under 19 hours. Time barriers are calculated for a 41 hours finish.

Below are the maximum time per relay . Third and fourth relay can be run largely by night.

It is possible to have clothes and supplies sent to Pierrefitte and Luz-Saint-Sauveur. These bags must be handed over to the organization before 8 pm on Thursday. They will be returned upon arrival late Saturday afternoon.
